Paintings that use accumulations of multidirectional lines and layers to create an ethereal ode to gestural painting, where the physical act of mark-making becomes the true subject.
Afternoon in a Candy Store is an intimate installation of a new edition of A/P archival prints by Canadian artist Anne-Marie Cosgrove. These small works are drawings on an IPad that are the artists first investigations into the non-traditional drawing media. These works are exhibited in a non-traditional art venue in the town of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
A conversation I had recently with writer Ariel Marken Jack on my new work and series. Published in the Lunenburg Barnacle, May 2025.
In this conversation as part of our Long Range Studio Visits we introduce Henrique Neves and Anne-Marie Cosgrove. Artists talk about their practice during confinement and techniques they use while painting. They also discuss importance of questioning and rethinking older works and discovering new methods of painting.
